Developed from a project carried out in 2007 in collaboration with CRA-ING (Italian Council for Research and Experimentation in Agriculture) following a Ministerial regulation aimed at reducing the supply chain and cutting the selling costs of table grapes, and at improving the quality of the product packed and ready to eat.
We have manufactured a machine specially dimensioned to fit into high-trained vines (“tendone” method) having a 1.60m height and 3m width, and very short headlands – 2.5 m (see photo).
Grapes are manually cut and immediately weighed, packed and carried onto pallets, ready to be sold on the market. Such actions are carried out simultaneously in the field to prevent grapes from being damaged during transport and transfer from one site to the other.
Some tests certified by CRA-ING have shown a 33% harvest time saving, thanks to a better organisation of workers.
