Our news in research

For more than 100 years our Company has been working to design innovative solutions for agriculture and we own a number of patents.
Since 1992 we have been collaborating with the CRA-ING (Italian Council for Research and Experimentation in Agriculture-ROME), whereas three years ago we started to collaborate with the CRPV (Research Centre for Vegetables) and the Emilia-Romagna region to design the first robot for vegetable production.
The said research will soon result in the first robot for asparagus harvesting and has already produced the following automatic systems:

CAB & CABSAT
Automatic battery control - Control system for the battery state of charge: it measures the battery state every 10 minutes and records it for 3 years. It will be soon fitted with a satellite data transmission system (CABSAT) which will let you get information on the battery history. The machines featuring this system will be granted a battery warranty of 3 or 5 years.
The system is interfaced with the machine and stops it in the event of discharged battery.

Buffer battery charger
Since August 2010 all our HF 24/25 battery chargers feature a buffer function to be used in case of inactivity. This system allows keeping the batteries charged for long periods with no intervention by the operator.

FAD
FIELD AUTOMATIC DRIVE - Automatic steering system for agricultural machines, which uses electromagnetic waves to maintain direction. It has a drive tolerance of max 5 cm on the side; it can work inside warehouses and is not subject to interference caused by moisture, rain or solar refraction. It can cover an area of 500m sides and drive the machine between rows planted at 1 m distance.

DL
LED diagnostic: It is a visual signalling system for the machine functions and failures. It consists of LED’s that change colour or blink depending on the information to give to an operator who might be at a distance up to 500 m.
